Description (Service) The Language Interpretation and Translation Services (LIS) is a division of Immigrant Women Services Ottawa. LIS offers language interpretation services to agencies serving multilingual clients with limited English and/or French language skills
  • services include spoken language interpretation in over 70 languages on site or by telephone, as well as written translation.
  • spoken language services are free in situations involving survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and elder abuse
  • also provide services to the Domestic Violence Court Systems, the Victim Crisis Services in Ottawa and the Valley
  • provides customer service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm
Eligibility Service providers working in social, healthcare and legal services * sexual assault centres * Domestic Violence Court Program

Clients: individuals who have limited English or French language skills, and who are victims or survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking or elder abuse
