Description (Service)

Services individuals of all ages who are in conflict with, or at risk of coming into conflict with the law

Child and Youth Services

  • Prevention & Intervention: programs aimed at preventing youth from coming into conflict with the law through early intervention strategies and supportive services.
  • Youth Housing: Providing stable housing solutions for homeless or at-risk youth, including:
    • A Different Street (ADS) Supportive Housing Program: for young men ages 16 to 21.
    • Windrose (WR) Supportive Housing Program: for female youth (cis-gender, non-binary, and transgender) ages 16 to 24, single or parenting.

Adult Justice Services

  • Services in Court & Detention: assistance and advocacy for individuals navigating the court system and those in detention.
  • Community Reintegration: programs to help individuals successfully reintegrate into society after incarceration.
  • Housing Supports and Residences: stable housing solutions, including:
    • Enhanced Supportive Housing: safe accommodation and intensive on-site supports.
    • Post-Incarceration Housing Support Program: housing support for men released from custody.
    • Various Residences: Including Rita Thompson Residence, Carruthers Residence, Kirkpatrick House, Ste. Anne Street, Tom Lamothe Residence, and more.
    • Record Suspension: assistance with applying for record suspension to help individuals move forward without the burden of a criminal record.

Employment and Training Services

  • Pre-Employment Training: job readiness programs, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Employment Services: connecting clients with employment opportunities and providing ongoing support, such as:
    • Community Employment Resource Centre (CERC): sssisting individuals in accessing training and employment.
    • Hire Power Employment Services: helping individuals in conflict with the law secure meaningful employment.
