Restorative justice services

Voluntary and confidential victim-offender dialogue 
  • regular meetings between the caseworker and the accused to discuss accountability and the underlying causes of criminal behaviours
  • regular meetings between the caseworker and the victim to identify needs, offer information and support, and identify affected family or community members who may also need support
  • caseworker facilitates the exchange of information between parties through dialogue, letter writing, or videotaped interviews and sometimes face-to-face meetings
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm
Eligibility Adults and youth who are either victims of crime or have been charged with a crime * Program only accepts cases where both victim and accused choose to participate
Languages English, French
Application Individuals who are accused of a crime should ask their lawyer should contact a caseworker * individuals who are victims should call the caseworker directly or ask to be connected through the Victim Witness Assistance Program, the Investigating Officer, or the Crown Attorney associated with the case
