Description (Service) COVID-19 (30 Mar 2020): Emergency shelter services remain available during COVID19. Clients asked to call before coming in person. See the YSB website for updates.

Emergency and transitional housing for young women:
  • capacity of 32
  • 14 beds are reserved for emergency shelter clients
  • two overflow rooms
  • 16 transitional housing apartments who may stay for up to one year
  • case management
  • counselling
  • easy access to all other Youth Services Bureau services
Hours Mon-Sun 24 hours
Eligibility
  • young women 12-20 years old
  • youth accessing shelter services and who fall within the age of protection as set out by the Child and Family Services Act (0-17 years), will be connected to child protection services

  • call 3-1-1 or the shelter directly for emergency housing
  • those interested in applying to Transitional Housing can refer to the website for more information or attend the Youth Services Bureau's Downtown Drop-In to discuss their housing needs
