Description (Service)

Group debriefing

  • for persons who have been affected by the loss of a person who has died by suicide
  • for individuals who are not family members who may not be served by existing programs (co-worker, clients, a community member, a neighbor, etc.)

This service is structured in one to two hours group sessions

  • offering a safe, confidential setting where the emphasis is on sharing thoughts, feelings and experiences
  • participants learn about stress reactions and community resources, and are reassured that their response to the event is natural

Supported by the Ottawa Suicide Prevention Coalition

Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Eligibility Participation in a debriefing is open to pre-teens, teens, adults and seniors
