Description (Service) Assists highly skilled internationally trained immigrants (ITIs) gain equivalent work experience in Ontario
  • regulated occupation (for example, nursing, engineering, etc.)
  • non-regulated occupation currently in demand, such as information technology, financial services
Career Transitions for International Health Professionals

Assists internationally trained health professionals with their job searches or licensing efforts
  • through a series of workshops and ongoing support, the program helps transition into the Canadian health care workforce
  • includes networking events and other targeted activities to help professionals find a job, residency or further education in the health care field
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
Eligibility Adults 18 years or older, with a post-secondary certificate or degree from outside Canada, and international work experience in a profession or trade; must be permanent resident, Canadian citizen, Convention refugee or refugee claimant eligible to work in Canada, with English proficiency that meets Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 7 or above

Clients in Francophone programs must demonstrate French language proficiency of Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) Level 7 or above, and English language proficiency of CLB Level 6 or above
