Description (Service) Appointment is strongly encouraged Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) individual and group support. AIDS Committee of Ottawa provides:
  • community education
  • risk reduction education
  • treatment information
  • liaison with organizations and health care professionals
  • immigration support
Support Services for people living with HIV
  • complementary therapies
  • Food bank
  • One on one support
Support/ Social Groups
  • Population specific groups/ socials for people living with HIV or at risk of HIV infection.
Sexual Health/ PrEP Clinic
  • low barrier clinic for sexual health needs, including testing, treatment and access to PrEP.

Health Promotion
  • risk reduction education
  • treatment information
  • information on HIV/AIDS related issues
  • professional and community referrals
Community Education
  • staff and volunteers liaise with other community organizations and health care professionals
Drug-Checking kits
  • test kits and strips for the presence/differentiation between various substances including fentanyl, MDMA, MDA, MDE, amphetamine, ketamine, PMA/PMMA, heroin, morphine, codeine
Hours AIDS Committee Mon-Thu 10 am-3 pm, Food bank Fri 1 pm-5 pm
