Description and Services
Description (Service) Counsellors available by telephone, virtually by Zoom or Teams and/or in person. Access to support services for abused women
  • crisis intervention
  • information and referral
  • support services (by telephone or in person)
  • help with emergency transportation or transportation to facilitate links with other community services
  • support groups
  • babysitting subsidies
  • individual counselling
  • community education for children
Children Who Witness Violence program:
  • support group for children and a concurrent group for their mothers
Transitional Housing Support program:
  • help to transition from an abusive relationship to safe housing and services
Hours Help Line Mon-Sun 24 hours * Chat and Text Service Mon-Sun 8 am-midnight
Eligibility

  • offers support to all women who have been abused physically, verbally and/or psychologically
  • transitional Housing Support program: available for women not accessing a shelter who are residing in the East and South end of the City of Ottawa
