Community-based program meant to improve the manner in which the community deals with youth aged 12 to 17 years who are in conflict with the law and are eligible for Extrajudicial Measures (EJM) and Extrajudicial Sanctions (EJS) as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), 2003 Designed to encourage greater accountability and address criminogenic needs Program features an intake assessment protocol that ensures the level of intervention is tied to risk, need and responsiveness Program elements ensure that interventions focus on eliminating the root causes of offending behaviour(s) |
