Description (Service)

Support organization for all women survivors of violence and sexual abuse

  • support line (texting available soon)
  • individual support (for up to 20 weeks with a SASC support worker and/or quick response emergency support up to 3 sessions)
  • accompaniments/advocacy
  • support groups (see below)
  • young women program
  • women and war program
  • Canadian armed forces services
  • public awareness and education
  • fundraising and special events

General support groups:

  • four general support groups per year (daytime and evening)
  • Mothers Group once a year to mothers of survivors of sexual violence
  • group for women who identify as multiple (having multiple parts of their personality)
  • generally 8-10 women per group
  • lasts 15-20 weeks, meeting once per week for 2.5 to 3 hours on Wednesdays
  • survivors-directed
  • drop-in groups available without registration for all women survivors of sexual violence and abuse, available each week


Information sessions for women healing from sexual violence, subjects include:

  • dealing with memories and flashbacks
  • understanding and releasing anger, learning boundaries, healing, coping
  • self-esteem and self-care, intimacy
  • how to support a survivor
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm * evening and weekend appointments available
Eligibility All women 14 years of age and over who are survivors of sexual violence and gender based violence
