Assists women and gender diverse people who have been or who may come in conflict with the law

Residential programs:

J F Norwood House

  • 15 bed transition house
  • provides a supportive living environment
  • facilitate successful reintegration into the community

Lotus House

  • bail residence
  • provides community-based supervision to residents who would otherwise likely be held in custody pending the resolution of their criminal charges

Housing Support:

  • assists clients involved in the system to find and maintain stable housing
  • supports high-needs clients referred by the City of Ottawa to secure and maintain housing

Court Support and In-Reach:

Direct Accountability Program (DAP)

  • includes pre-charge and post-charge diversion
  • aims to provide alternative to formal prosecution for those who have been charged with minor criminal offences and divert away from the criminal justice system and redirect to Elizabeth Fry Ottawa for community programming and supports

Court Support Program

  • assists with the navigation of the criminal justice system
  • provides immediate and practical assistance to people who have been recently released from custody

In-Reach

  • provides support and advocacy for those imprisoned at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre
  • provides relapse prevention programming and individual counselling


Drop-in

  • provides access basic needs such as clothing, snacks, toiletries, bus tickets, and food
