Short term assistance and emotional support, as well as information about and referral to resources in the community. When a woman has experienced abuse or sexual assault in Ottawa, interpretation is provided free-of-charge through the Immigrant Women’s Services of Ottawa. These resources serve clients regardless of status in Canada.

Mental Health Mobile Crisis Team

Provides telephone access in both French and English, 24 hours/7 days a week. Provides screening, assessment, referrals, and support in a crisis, suicide intervention and transfer to the Local Crisis Team or to emergency services when advisable.

Ottawa Victim Services

Provides emotional support, practical assistance, referrals and advocacy to individuals who have been victimized as a result of a crime or tragic circumstance, without judgment in order to lessen the impact of victimization.  Interpretation available for women victims of violence.
